Huddle Soft Serve
Huddle has transitioned from delivery to walk-up window service for the season. Drop by the downtown shop for chocolate and vanilla swirls and custard slushes. Huddle also has an ice cream truck available for social distancing, drive-thru parties.

For the Love of Sugar
Brush Park’s decadent cake shop For the Love of Sugar is selling pints of custard ice cream to-go out of its storefront. Find flavors here like Oreo cookies and cream, strawberry shortcake, and vegan vanilla bean.
SheWolf Pastificio & Bar
There’s no glass dish treatment for the swirly gelato at SheWolf right now, but customers can still purchase pints of the restaurant’s silky smooth gelato to-go. Pints of gluten-free chocolate, pistachio, and lemon-ricotta gelato are available for pickup. Email the restaurant to place an order.
Cold Truth
Vegan soft serve favorite Cold Truth is open for curbside service at its pint-sized Cass Corridor shop from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Find flavors here like tart Michigan cherry, coconut, lavender, and sweet cream with optional toppings like dark chocolate drizzle and blue moon drizzle. Pick up cones, cups, pints, and even ice cream sandwiches. There’s also a pint-it-forward option for customers who wish to donate ice cream to first responders.
Bob Jo's Frozen Custard
Bob Jo’s Frozen Custard is encouraging customers to keep social distance and wear a mask when waiting in line. Drop in daily starting at noon for cool and creamy flavors like coconut custard and blueberry frozen yogurt. Pints and quarts are also available.
Custard Hut
Instagram darling Custard Hut is known for its waffle custard sandwiches. Swirls of frozen custard in flavors like lemon and raspberry are squished between fresh waffles. Customers can dress up their dessert with toppings like fresh sliced strawberries, sprinkles, and fruity pebbles. The whole thing is dusted in powdered sugar and wrapped in tin foil. There are plenty of good old fashioned ice cream cones, too. The shop is open for carryout. Vegan options are often available but customers should call ahead to confirm.

Commonwealth in Birmingham is open for takeout with lots of vegan and allergy-safe soft serve from Ice Cream Plant available. Choose from flavors like matcha, coffee, vanilla, or chocolate offered in cones and pints. Call ahead to place an order.
Golden Cone Frozen Custard & Ice Cream
Golden Cone is open for carryout and walk-up window service only. The downtown Royal Oak ice cream shop serves a variety of Guernsey ice cream flavors as well as chocolate and vanilla custard. The stand can also be counted on for a swirl of non-dairy Dole soft serve.

This metro Detroit trio of custard stands is accepting orders. Call ahead to your chosen location between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and arrange a time for curbside pickup. No walkup orders are being accepted at this time and the shops are not accepting cash. The flavors rotate weekly and include options like Traverse City Cherry Chip, cake batter, and creamy caramel.
