Taquerias and taco trucks used to be go-to spots for a quick, affordable meal or a family gathering, but Michigan’s dine-in closures have made it a bit trickier for Detroiters to patronize and enjoy the atmosphere of their favorite Mexican restaurants. Fortunately, for folks longing for their local taco fix, many spots have adapted operations to safely serve customers at a proper social distance. From restaurants serving up tacos vampiros to establishments with family-style taco kits, here’s where to order tacos in metro Detroit for takeout and delivery right now.

Eater Detroit has done it’s best to confirm the status of these restaurants but the situation is changing daily, so make sure to check websites and social media for the latest information. Remember to tip generously. And please — for the safety of staff, delivery workers, and other customers — respect social distancing measures by maintaining a distance of at least six feet from other people, avoiding large groups, wearing a mask over your nose and mouth, washing your hands regularly, and staying home when sick.
