After a pandemic, a gray winter, and almost 15 months indoors, many people are embracing the outdoors. This Eater Detroit outdoor dining guide can help and will be updated regularly.

This year, many restaurateurs in metro Detroit expanded their outdoor dining programs in response to indoor capacity restrictions; some installed patios; others rolled out plastic domes.
