Owners of the Red Hook coffee bar and bakery are planning to expand to a third location this winter. The cafe, which has locations in West Village and Ferndale, is preparing to begin construction on a new location at 2761 E Jefferson Ave. this fall near downtown Detroit, owner Sandi Heaselgrave tells the Metro Times. The new outpost, listed on the cafe’s website, is scheduled to open sometime this winter.

Heaselgrave previously explored an expansion to Cass Corridor and conducted a pop-up inside the former Will Leather Goods during winter 2017, with the hopes of taking over the store’s cafe. The plan ultimately did not work out and Will Leather Goods has since closed to make way for Sauce.

Red Hook is currently serving coffee from its two existing locations with a slightly modified carryout format and limited hours. Pre-ordering for curbside carryout on Saturdays is available online.
