Growing Yemeni mini chain Sheeba Restaurant opened the doors at its newest location in West Dearborn at 22048 Michigan Ave. on Monday, September 23. This is the third outpost for Sheeba Restaurant in Dearborn, which is known for dishes like lamb haneeth and chicken ghallaba.

RIP East Jefferson IHOP

The International House of Pancakes on East Jefferson Avenue has permanently closed. The building sold earlier this year and the restaurant’s lease had expired. The IHOP was originally established in 1994 after the property owner struggled for years to find a business to develop on the site and at one point had the highest sales of all the chain’s Midwest locations. Of course, fans of the breakfast chain won’t have to go far for their Breakfast Sampler. A combination IHOP/Applebee’s opened in downtown Detroit’s Millender Center last year.
