Asian Corned Beef has opened its newest location of the Asian/deli fast food chain at 19102 Woodward Avenue. The restaurant had originally eyed another location just west of Woodward at 8 Mile, but residents rallied against the necessary neighborhood variance. This is the seventh location for the corned-beef eggroll serving local chain and takes the place of a long-vacant building that was once a McDonald’s. ACB’s regional manager Javon Martin told Deadline Detroit that while it sat derelict, people had been using the entire building as a restroom, and pooping in it. Martin reiterated the company’s dedication to keeping this location, and its surrounding parking lot tidy.
Fifth Location of Popular Poke Bowl Restaurant Officially Open
Pokē Pokē’s newest location opened at 450 Woodward Avenue, Suite 301 in Midtown over the weekend. The fast-growing chain, which insists upon adding extra emphasis to its Es, debuted its first location in Southfield last summer and quickly followed it up with an outpost in Farmington. Three more locations are in the works in Dearborn, Grand Rapids, MI; and Tampa, FL.
Royal Oak’s Roadhouse-styled Burger Bar Opens Second Location Next Week
Plans for mini-chain status are coming together for The Morrie, as its second location gears up for its grand opening. The Birmingham location throws open its doors and fires up the stge on August 15. Owner Aaron Belen shared the plans for this roadhouse-styled restaurant, along with plans for as many as five locations back in March 2018.
The Morrie’s original location debuted in fall 2016 with a focus on American comfort foods and live music.
