Eater Detroit is thrilled to announce a new pop-up series at Frame in Hazel Park showcasing Eater Young Guns from across the country. The Eater Young Guns Summer Eat + Drink Week will run from Wednesday, August 14 through Saturday, August 17 with appearances by chefs and industry experts from Portland, Seattle, Brooklyn, and San Francisco.

For eight years Eater has been seeking out and recognizing rising stars in the food and beverage industry as Young Guns — individuals with the talent and vision to shape the future of dining in the U.S. Candidates must be under 30 or have fewer than five years of experience in the restaurant world. This coming August, Frame in collaboration with Eater is excited to bring some of those talents to Hazel Park. Here’s a look at the lineup:

  • Wednesday, August 14: Trigg Brown (Class of ‘17) of Win Son in Williamsburg, Brooklyn will prepare a family-style Taiwanese dinner. More details.
  • Thursday, August 15: Deuki Hong (Class of ‘15), Koreatown: A Cookbook co-author and chef at Sunday Bird and Sunday at the Museum in San Francisco, is preparing a Korean feast. Hong will be joined on that evening by Seattle-based wine enthusiast Suzi An (Class of ‘17), serving a soju tasting to complement the meal. Additionally, Hong be signing his New York Times-best selling book at the end of each seating. A vegetarian option is available. More details.
  • Friday, August 16: Jacob Harth (Class of ‘19) of Erizo in Portland, Oregon, is preparing a sustainably-sourced seafood dinner from the Pacific Coast. A pescetarian option is available. More details.
  • Saturday, August 17: Fellow Portlander and chef at Yonder, Maya Lovelace (Class of ‘16), is closing out the tremendous week of eating with a Southern dinner. More details.

Each evening will feature 2-hour seatings starting at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale at noon on Wednesday, July 3. Dinner runs $85 per person plus tax and service fees. The meal includes wine and cocktail pairings by Frame’s resident sommelier Byan Lamorena and bartender Tim Avery (Suzi An will be handling beverage pairings on August 15). Additional beer, wine, and cocktails are available a la carte. We hope you join us for great food and conversation.
