Cult favorite burger chain Shake Shack is wending its way west to Ann Arbor in the next chapter of its Michigan invasion. The New York-based restaurant group will open its third Michigan outpost at 3030 Washtenaw Ave., All About Ann Arbor reports.
The latest Shack is settling into a 3,000-square-foot space with plans for patio seating. The renovation is expected to cost roughly $575,000, according to MLive. Diners can expect Shack Burgers, crinkle cut fries, fried chicken sandwiches, and, of course, the really long lines that accompany all Shake Shack openings.
Michigan’s inaugural Shake Shack location debuted in downtown Detroit in spring 2017 and a second restaurant opened later that year in Troy. Both outlets integrated local products into their menus. The Michigan frozen custard concretes feature mix-ins from Bon Bon Bon, Sister Pie, Rocky’s, as well as Ann Arbor’s own Zingerman’s Black Magic Brownies.
Shake Shack is aiming to open this fall.
