OPENINGS — Michigan legalized marijuana in December for recreational use and the founder of the White Panther Party/former manager for the MC5, John Sinclair, recently opened the John Sinclair Foundation Café and Coffee Shop inside Dr. Bob’s Psychedelic Healing Shack. Marijuana is not for sale at the location. Sinclair want to capture the spirit of the coffee shops he visits in Amsterdam. [FREEP]

EXPANSION — West Village bakery Sister Pie is eyeing options for expansion or relocation in the new year. The bakery is owned by 2015 Eater Young Gun Lisa Ludwinski.
