Halal burger chain expands

Famous Hamburger, a halal burger chain with roots in Lebanon, is plotting an expansion to a third metro Detroit outpost this spring. The restaurant known for its fancy milkshakes and creative burger combinations plans to add a new location at 44011 Ford Rd. in the city’s central business district. This will be the company’s second restaurant in Canton. Famous Hamburger also operates a location in Dearborn

New dinner options in Corktown

Brunch favorite the Brooklyn Street Local is evolving and adding new dinner hours complete with menu of beer, wine, and cocktails. The previously dry restaurant and poutine destination plans to remain open until 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, with a Jamaican takeover by Irie Occasions from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Saturday through the spring.

Weekend breakfast sandwiches for the win

Because egg sandwiches are just as good on weekends as weekdays, Iggy’s Eggies is adding hours from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays and Sundays. Now if only the window would open late-night, they’d have the bases covered.
