Fast-casual Greek street food chain opening third outpost
The third outpost of Southeast Michigan fast-casual restaurant chain Estia Greek Street Food is set to open on Monday, October 1, in Warren. The restaurant is located at 5753 Twelve Mile in a space previously home to Pei Wei. The 3,000-square-foot restaurant seats 90 and will feature a 24-seat patio.
New steakhouse lands in Troy
Troy, land of chains, is gaining Michigan’s first outpost of Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill. The restaurant brand, which spans eight states, is poised to open a new, 8,000-square-foot location at 155 West Big Beaver Rd. on Monday, October 29. The restaurant will seat 200 people and serve steak and seafood offerings like coffee-cured filets.
Lunch lifts off
Troy’s Latin American-influenced newcomer Gran Castor is now serving lunch on weekends beginning at 11 a.m. on weekends only. The restaurant also has a cafe that opens daily in the mornings at 7 a.m. during the week and 8 a.m. on the weekends.
Taphouse switcheroo
Rochester Tap Room at 6870 N. Rochester Rd. has shuttered and will be replaced by Paw Paw-based Lucky Girl Brewery, according to Crain’s. The new spot called Lucky Girl Crossroads is set to open on October 3 with St. Louis-style ribs on the menu.
