Downtown Detroit is set to gain another parkside summer pop-up restaurant next week with the opening of Clementina in Capitol Park. Heirloom Hospitality plans to open its colorful shipping container-food truck restaurant next week. In the meantime, Clementina’s team has released a sneak peek at the Latin-influenced menu.

The dishes were developed by chef Ryan Prentiss of Prime + Proper, another Heirloom Hospitality venture. While customers will be served through the food truck, much of the food for Clementina will be prepared in the steakhouse’s kitchen across the street. Diners can expect options like salsa and guacamole served with crunchy corn tortillas and a lineup of chilled dishes like shrimp and octopus ceviche. There are also three styles of tacos priced at around $5 a piece, plus items like adobo chicken nachos. Heirloom is also leaning into the goth food and soft serve trends with Instagrammy black coconut-activated charcoal ice cream for dessert.

Clementina’s shipping container will serve as its bar. The cocktail menu features six drinks including three frozen beverages. Customers can choose from options like a raspberry frosé sangria and the Cocolina with coconut oil-washed aged rum, lime, almond orgeat, cinnamon, and angostura bitters. For people who prefer to sip their tequila straight, Clementina is offering 1-ounce pours of the spirit ranging from an $8 shot of El Jimador Reposado to a $24 shot of Don Julio 1942. There are also plenty of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Clementina’s entirely outdoor dining space is opening at the corner of Shelby and State Street on Monday, July 2. Scope out the full menu below.

Update, June 29, 1:51 p.m.: Representatives from Clementina confirm to Eater that the restaurant will open on Monday, July 2.

Clementina is located at the corner of Shelby and State Street in downtown Detroit; open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
