Metro Detroit’s latest fancy hot dog purveyor Loaded Links is setting up shop at 800 E. Big Beaver Road in Troy. The restaurant will feature all-beef hot dogs as well as higher end tube meats made from Wagyu and Kobe beef, according to a release.
The 1,500-square-foot hot dog shop operated by Randy Ayyar will serve hot dogs that are made with hormone and antibiotic-free meat and topped with “daring ingredients” such as tempura avocado and truffle mayo. The teased signature dogs include “the Porky” loaded with pulled pork, bacon aioli, diced tomatoes, and green onions and “the Longhorn” with beef brisket, coleslaw, and beer-battered onion rings. Bacon-wrapped Senoran hot dogs will also be available.
In addition to the self-described “haute dogs,” Loaded Links will serve burgers, “non-carbonated crushed ice” drinks, and deep-fried Oreos — a food usually reserved for carnivals and baseball games. The hot dog restaurant is expected to arrive this summer.
