Scope Out the Renderings for Empire Kitchen & Cocktails

Work is underway at Brush Park’s forthcoming restaurant and bar project Empire Kitchen & Cocktails. The establishment is headed for 3148 Woodward Ave. on the ground floor of luxury apartment building the Scott. While details on the new restaurant’s “all American” menu are still limited, Empire has provided Eater with a look at some of the exterior and interior renderings.

The restaurant, whose name and opening timeline were confirmed in late March, has been in the works for nearly two years. It was first teased back in June 2016, while the Scott was still in the throes of construction. Empire is the first original restaurant project for restaurateurs Michael Abrams and Brian Adelman, who own the franchise rights to Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Michigan and operate a fleet of 31 locations throughout the state. They along with partner David Pittaway have recruited Culinary Institute of America-trained chef Aaron Lowen to run the kitchens at Empire.

When it debuts, the 3,150-square-foot restaurant will feature a 30-foot-long bar and mixed seating with two-top tables and high tops in the bar area. Empire will also offer plenty of outdoor seating at on the wraparound patio shaded by awnings.

Empire is currently in the process of hiring its opening staff for all positions and will be hosting open calls this week from April 11 through April 13, a representative for the restaurant confirms to Eater. Applicants are encouraged to bring two copies of their resume was well as photo IDs and social security cards.
