Detroit’s Lady of the House Named One of America’s Best New Restaurants

Chef Kate Williams’ Corktown restaurant Lady of the House received a well-deserved nod today from GQ’s Best New Restaurants in America list. The restaurant was one of 13 establishments named to the list. Critic Brett Martin had some very kind words for the Parisian ham, calling it “one of my favorite single dishes of the entire year.”

Halal burgers head downtown in May

Dearborn’s expanding fast-casual burger and smoothie spot Brome Modern Eatery is poised to arrive in May at 607 Shelby St., according to Metro Times. Its juice bar will be perched inside the pedestrian bridge connecting the State Savings Bank and the 607 Building.

After seven years in Canton, Hayden’s Grill and Bar closed its doors on April 15. The restaurant located at Ford and Lotz roads had 40 part-time employees and seven full-time employees who were informed of the closer as they arrived at work on Friday and Saturday.
