Harry’s Bar Says Little Caesars Arena is Trying to Push Them Out of Location

Dispute Continues Between Harry’s Bar and Little Caesars Arena

The owner of Harry’s Bar, 2482 Clifford St., which sits next door to Little Caesars Arena, is accusing Olympia Development of trying to push his business out of its current location. WDIV reports that owner Harry Kefalonitis is saying that the arena has set up barricades that keep customers from entering his bar. Kefalonitis tells the station his attorney has been in contact with Olympia for months. The attorney has also reached out to City Council for assistance with the months-long struggle over traffic flow issues around the area.

Populace Coffee Confirmed Open

Populace Coffee is set to officially open April 6. The cafe is situated in the Siren Hotel inside the newly renovated Wurlitzer Building downtown at 1509 Broadway St. Hotel development group ASH NYC has been working to preserve the Wurlitzer for nearly four and half years. Also debuting in the hotel, Candy Bar and a number of other food and drink spots. Hours at Populace Coffee will be 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

In other Between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. today, Little Caesars is giving away a free lunch combo: four slices of deep dish pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi product. The Metro Times first reported that the giveaway is a result of a March Madness bet on Twitter, that promised that if a bottom-seeded team beat a No. 1 seed, the chain would offer free lunch combos to everyone nationwide.
