Welcome to day three of Detroit’s 2018 Eater Awards, honoring the most esteemed restaurants, bars, chefs, and more in cities across the world. Here’s how the Eater Awards work: All 24 Eater cities and the national site will award prizes in multiple categories, including but not limited to Restaurant of the Year and Chef of the Year.
In each category, editors will choose an Editor’s Choice winner and readers will vote for a Reader’s Choice winner — all to be announced on December 5, 2018. The Reader’s Choice winner gets unlimited bragging rights as an Eater fan favorite. The Editor’s Choice winner will receive an illustrious tomato can trophy, as is the tradition around here.
Now, without any further ado, it’s time to vote for the reader’s choice winner in the Design of the Year category. This year’s nominees include bubbly, pink cocktail lounge Candy Bar, LEED-certified parkside restaurant Lumen, splashy steakhouse Prime + Proper, and art installation-turned-arcade bar Deluxx Fluxx. Scope out the nominees and find their respective photo galleries below.
Polls will be open for 24 hours from 10 a.m. on November 28 to 10 a.m. on November 29 and will be strictly policed for funny business. (Please note: If the poll doesn’t appear, try visiting the page directly through the Eater Detroit website.) Choose wisely:
