A new stand devoted to hot breakfast will soon be opening its walk-up window in Capitol Park. Restaurateur Eli Boyer and chefs Jennifer Jackson and Justin Tootla are opening a new spot called Iggy’s Eggies at the Lovers Only walk-up window on Grand River Avenue in downtown Detroit.

When it debuts sometime in December, Iggy’s Eggies will open at 8 a.m. on weekdays with an assortment of breakfast sandwiches, grain bowls, and biscuits, per a release. Iggy’s owners tease menu items like the Little Debbie with corned beef hash, mustard, and eggs on grilled rye and the Stay Golden with sprouts, avocado, onion, feta, hummus, and egg on seedy bread. There’s also the Bodega with fried bologna, egg, cheese, and mustard on an onion roll. The walk-up window restaurant will also serve Roos Roast coffee.

Iggy’s will be a complement to Lovers Only’s fast-casual burger and sandwich offerings and joins Boyer, Jackson, and Tootla’s other seafood project Voyager in Ferndale. Stay tuned for more updates on Iggy’s opening.
