Beacon Park’s Lumen Detroit Gears Up For Spring Opening

DOWNTOWN — Lumen Detroit, the flagship restaurant to anchor DTE’s Beacon Park, is on track for a spring opening with construction near completion. This week, job seekers can also apply for some 50 full and part-time front and back-of-house jobs at the eatery. Open interviews at the restaurant will take place noon to 8 p.m. February 1, February 2 and February 3. Applications can also be filled out online or downloaded in advance at www.lumendetroit.com. DOWNTOWN — Soon-to-open downtown Detroit burger restaurant Lovers Only is on the lookout for hard working individuals to fill positions in the kitchen and front of the house for an expected early 2018 opening. At least a year required for kitchen positions. The forthcoming eatery helmed by Voyager restaurant owners Eli Boyer and chefs Justin Tootla and Jennifer Jackson previously changed the name from Lover Boy to its current moniker. [Facebook]

WEST VILLAGE — Forthcoming combination restaurant and butcher shop Marrow is gearing up for build-out construction to start mid-February, according to Crain’s. Redevelopment is said to be upwards of $1 million, with architecture work done by Scott Monchnik & Associates Inc. of Troy and NY-based studio ai architects. Meanwhile, the incoming chef Sarah Welch is keeping busy. She’ll be popping up at a winter dining series at Gather in Eastern Market on February 19. [Crain’s/EaterWire]
