CASS CORRIDOR — Following several months of delays, Cass Corridor taco shop Alley Taco is ready to reveal its bigger digs on Willis Street. The restaurant owned by Jason Frenkel opened its first location inside Marcus Market in January 2014, and acquired the former Goodwells Natural Food space last August for a larger format restaurant. The new location will offer more dine-in seating and a updated menu. It’s expected to open this morning at 11 a.m. followed by a more official debut on Friday. Eater is reaching out for more details. Stay tuned. [EaterWire]
DEARBORN — Car-themed chain Ford’s Garage will open its first Michigan location in Dearborn on July 5, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page. The 13,000-square-foot eatery has been given the blessing of the Dearborn-based car maker with an official licensing agreement. Ford’s Garage sports trademarked brand imagery and lots of homages to auto manufacturing such as build-your-own “Assembly Line” burgers. [Facebook]
FERNDALE — Food truck park Detroit Fleat is targeting an opening date of July 7. The eatery, which features several stationary food trucks and a full-scale restaurant and bar, has received the majority of its licensing approvals. Alongside food from Delectabowl, The Mac Shack, Pita Post, and Drifter Coffee, Detroit Fleat will serve Mexican Street food and sliders. [EaterWire]
