Campus Martius Park’s beachside bar and grill The Fountain Detroit is aiming to reopen this weekend. The shipping container restaurant rolled back into downtown last week and plans to opened its doors to the public soon with a fresh lineup of lunch items and frozen cocktails, according to a rep for the restaurant.
Patrons can expect dishes like reuben fries, Southwest-style salads, and The Double burger (two beef patties, sharp white cheddar, American cheese, secret sauce, lettuce, and onion) on the new menu. The bar will also be expanding its frozen cocktail list to feature boozy milkshakes.

The Fountain Detroit was introduced last year by Campus Martius Park’s new food service 800 Parc, which also operates Parc. It marked the Detroit restaurant scene’s first foray into container building design, although similar projects like Detroit Shipping Co. are in the works. The seasonal restaurant features entirely outdoor seating including tables, couches, and umbrellas. The Fountain will remain open through mid-October.
