The Zingerman’s empire is upping its game at the Airport Plaza production facility in Ann Arbor. The company will unveil an expanded retail space under a new name Cream Top Shop on Saturday offering a host of divine sweet and savory items, according to a release.
The retail side of Cream Top Shop will primarily focus on cheeses from Zingerman’s Creamery as well as showcasing a rotating array of American made artisan cheeses and accoutrements such as olives and dried fruits. A curated selection of craft beer and wine will also be available.
Likewise, Cream Top Shop is putting its flavorful cheeses into action on gourmet made-to-order sandwiches and customizable Munchables — snack trays featuring cheeses, bread and crackers, with sides of nuts, dried fruit, and whole grain mustard.
For something a little sweeter the shop is scooping gelato and sorbet. Patrons can choose from 12 seasonal and classic flavors for a cone, sundae, malt, shake, or float. There’s also an option of Black Magic Brownie or pie à la mode.
Customers can grab a window seat in view of the production space or at one of the shop’s communal tables which will also be utilized during on-site tastings and classes.
Zingerman’s Cream Top Shop is located at 3723 Plaza Drive in Ann Arbor. The shop opens from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Website.
