Press Room Cafe & Market debuts on Wednesday in downtown Detroit bringing with it a host of fresh breakfast items along with pantry staples. The multi-stall cafe fills the former Detroit News Building at 615 W. Lafayette.
Diners can expect a wide variety of grab-and-go and made-to-order meal options at the restaurant, which has partnered with Intelligencia Coffee and celebrity chef-backed chain Mercato by Fabio Viviani.
The Intelligencia coffee bar will operate throughout the day along with the market, serving five breakfast sandwich options alongside espresso drinks, teas, and smoothies.
The Press Room Grill and Mercato stations will open beginning at 11 a.m. on weekdays and running mainly through the lunch rush with select stalls staying open into the early evening. Press Room Grill’s menu offers items like a 1/2-pound burger served on a brioche bun with white cheddar, slab bacon, and “B.L.T. slaw” alongside sandwiches, salads, and sides.
Mercato focuses on Italian dishes including thin-crust, Neapolitan-style pizzas in signature and build-your-own varieties and a small selection of pastas. Scope out the menu for Press Room Grill and Mercato by Fabio Viviani below:
