BRUSH PARK — Taco chain Bakersfield lands in the former Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe building on December 18. Cincinnati-based restaurant group is known for making tortillas in-house and offering an extensive selection of tequilas and whiskeys. [Metro Times]

ANN ARBOR/DETROIT — Acclaimed Cuban burger spot Frita Batidos has been plotting its Detroit invasion for a while now and fans have been waiting on bated breath for any scrap of news. JEFFERSON-CHALMERS — Norma G’s Caribbean restaurant founder Lester Gouvia tells Eater that contractor delays have pushed back the expected fall opening date for his brick-and-mortar restaurant. [EaterWire]
