The Packard Plant site is slated to house an upcoming restaurant and brewery. A “Coming Soon” sign from developers Arte Express touting the Packard Plant Brewery recently appeared in the window of a building along the 1600 E. Grand Blvd block, MLive first-reports.
The Kari Smith, a director for the development group, confirmed the project stating, “We feel that having a local restaurant and brewery adds amenities to the area.” Arte Express is currently partnering with unnamed area restaurants on the project, which is expected to feature both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Arte Express previously revealed several tenants poised to takeover spaces in the first phase of the project including food truck Esto’s Garage and an unnamed coffee shop.
More concrete plans for the redevelopment of the historic and long-abandoned building are expected to be announced in early 2018.
