Earlier this month, Eater first-reported the mysterious disappearance of Goodwells Natural Food from its longtime Willis Street location. While Goodwells owners are still unfortunately unreachable, the prime Cass Corridor space has found a new tenant. BLAC reports that Marcus Market favorite, Alley Taco, will fill the vacancy next to Avalon International Bread in 2017. The restaurant owned by Jason Frenkel (also of Rubbed) announced the move this afternoon on social media. Reached by Eater, Frenkel confirms that the location will offer a more sit-down style atmosphere than the market counter, which he plans to keep open.

Alley Taco first opened in early 2014, satisfying the area’s need for a quick, inexpensive Mexican street food shop. Last year, Frenkel unveiled an expanded menu at the eatery, including $5 taco deals, Mexican pizza, quesadillas, and more. Stay tuned for updates as the location develops.
