As hinted by managing partner Nino Cutraro earlier this week, Wahlburgers quietly opened its doors to the Greektown masses this weekend. While there were hints of a possible soft launch on social media, The Detroit News confirmed the flashy burger-themed homage to the Wahlberg acting dynasty opened its doors today to voracious fans.

"Welcome to Wahlburgers Detroit, can I take your order?"

Some diners were surprised to find Mark Wahlberg, himself, at the restaurant today. He snapped pictures with a few customers and passers by. According to Cutraro, the restaurant will stay open until “11 p.m. or midnight” today and will be closed on Sunday in order to prepare for an official launch on Monday.

The 4,200-square-foot, 130-seat restaurant located next to Redsmoke Barbecue spans two stories and features a full bar and patio area. As previously reported, Cutraro is signed on to open six locations in Michigan and six locations in Ohio over the next five years. Stay tuned for more updates. Scope out a sample menu below.
