COMING ATTRACTIONS — Serena Maria Daniels has the first word on a new taco spot slated for an as-of-yet unknown location in Corktown. El Cuadro is a project by Ottava Via owner Dave Steinke and chef Ariel Millan. The menu will feature tacos with Caribbean (an homage to Millan’s Puerto Rican roots) and Mexican fillings. The eatery is expected to debut in the spring or summer of 2017. [Metro Times]

MARKET WATCH — Plymouth’s new Westborn Market is slated to open at noon on July 14. The new downtown store will feature a juice station, restaurant, and patio area featuring sandwiches, flatbreads, small plates, and side dishes. [Crain’s]

ICONS — The Greenwich Time Pub is celebrating its 50 anniversary on July 15 with food and drink specials. Owner Harry Hans, who immigrated from Albania 1960, still works the grill. NEWS — The Detroit Experience Factory has launched its third annual Bar & Restaurant Challenge, which encourages Detroiters to explore more than 622 dining spots in the city. Between now and September 30 competitors can track their visits on a checklist.
