Stroh’s Revives Old-Timey Detroit Brew and More Intel

BEER HERE — Former Detroit-based brewer Stroh’s is making its way back to the Motor City next month. The company confirmed on Tuesday that it has struck a deal with Brew Detroit in Corktown to revive the original Bohemian-style Pilsner recipe from the 1800s. The brew is slated for a release on August 22. [EaterWire]

COMING ATTRACTIONS — One of metro Detroit’s most diverse dining neighborhoods is saddling up for yet another eclectic dining addition. Hamtown Soul Food, a halal soul food restaurant, is slated to open on the corner of Caniff and Lumpkin. [BLAC Detroit]

VITAL UPDATES — It’s official. Pie-Sci arrives this Thursday in Woodbridge. The restaurant received its final licensing from the city on Tuesday. [Instagram]
