In case you missed it, downtown Detroit gained a new restaurant and bar on Thursday evening when Rusted Crow Detroit flung open its doors in the Kales Building. Currently without a website, it might be difficult to parse exactly what to expect from the more ambitious sister operation to the Rusted Crow Distillery in Dearborn Heights without physically stopping in. Here, we offer a first-look at the Grand Circus Park eatery’s opening menu, which consists of casual bar fare at mid-range prices ($8-$16 per plate).
As promised, the restaurant has assembled a mixture of appetizers, dinner-sized salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Manager Arielle Bumbul tells Eater the restaurant plans to incorporate additional entrees and desserts in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for items like the mac & cheese burger served with a fried mac & cheese patty and bacon, fried brussels sprout salads, and fish tacos.
Barside, diners can expect cocktail’s prepared with Rusted Crow’s namesake spirits including vodka, gin, rum, and moonshine. Take a peek at the food menu below and stay tuned for more updates.
