BRUNCHWIRE — Bistro 82's seasonal Sunday brunch returns June 12. The menu runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekly followed by happy hour and dinner service at 4 p.m. The eatery's brunch menu features dishes like New York strip with charred broccolini, eggs, and breakfast potatoes, croque madame, s'mores pancakes, and chicken and waffles. POP-UPS — Chefs Larissa Popa of Meatstress and Aaron Egan of Steampunk Cookery are teaming up for a Central and Eastern European-influenced meal at Eastern Market Shed 5 on June 27. The menu features chicken soup with matzah balls and kreplach dumplings, mamaliga ca acasa (baked cornmeal cake, fresh farmers cheese, sour cream, crispy duck egg, and cracklings), zacusca (grilled rustic bread, roasted eggplant, sweet pepper, tomato spread, and dill), and more. CHARITY WIRE — Organizers are aiming to develop a biking and dog park in Dean Savage Park (bounded by Porter Street, Abbott Street, and Trumbull Avenue in Corktown). To help kick off a fundraising campaign Batch Brewing Company will host a biergarten with Feelgood charity taps in the park.
