Brush Park is experiencing major developments — both commercial and residential — but a new project headed for the neighborhood will blend the two. The Detroit News first-reports that The Scott, a $65 million, five-story, mixed-use development located along Woodward Avenue will feature an "American-style bistro."
Restaurant owner Michael Abrams confirms that the as-of-yet unnamed project will fill approximately 4,500-square-feet on northwest corner of The Scott. Abrams who co-owns 30 Five Guys franchises in Michigan and Mr. Joe's says the space is leased but the concept is still evolving.
The 199-unit apartment building will feature "an outdoor pool with four season spa, rooftop terrace with outdoor fireplaces and community kitchen, a pet grooming station, 24/7 concierge service, and a lifestyle curator to plan social events," according to Curbed. The Scott, which is only a block from the future Ilitchville District Detroit and the QLine (formerly M-1), began pre-leasing apartments in February. The building is expected to welcome between four and five commercial/retail tenants.
