Mother's Day weekend marks the launch of the Great Lakes-themed Huron Room's first-ever brunch. While it's not uncommon to see fish on a brunch menu, the Mexicantown restaurant is staying true to theme with more than the average number of seafood dishes. The Great Lakes Benedict for example substitutes ham for fish cakes and a smoky hollandaise sauce while the BLT trades bacon for fried perch.

Of course, the restaurant doesn't spurn non-aquatic staples. There's plenty of breakfast standard-bearers including bacon, eggs, and upscaled Bananas Foster french toast to satisfy the lumberjacks and sweet tooths in your brunch crew. Huron Room's brunch runs Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations for Mother's Day are highly recommended. Take a peek at the full menu below:
