Everybody panic. Danny Meyer's NYC-based burger sensation Shake Shack is finally headed to Detroit. The chain confirmed today that it's heading to downtown's First National Building near Campus Martius in 2017. Rumors have cycled since 2013 that Shake Shack might make a move to the Motor City and Bedrock appears to have finally sealed the deal.

The chain is known for its juicy Angus patties served on Martin's Potato Rolls and crinkle cut fries. Per the release, the location will offer concretes (blended frozen custard treats) made with city-specific ingredients such as locally-baked pastries. Customers will also, "be able to hang out on the patio overlooking the park and sip on a selection of hand-picked wine and local craft beer." Stay tuned for more details and check out the chain's take on the Spirit of Detroit below.
