Fast-casual Thai food empire Go! Sy Thai is headed to downtown's Capitol Park area. Metro Times reports that the latest restaurant outpost is slated for the Albert Building, alongside fellow tenants Dessert Oasis Coffee and Detroit Bikes. Sy Thai will have a relatively small footprint with seating for 29 diners and an abbreviated menu to match. Patrick Thompson Design has been tapped to design the space.

Go! Sy Thai is known for its vegetarian vegan-friendly fare as well as gluten-free options. The company currently operates several locations around Metro Detroit including one well-trafficked restaurant in Cass Corridor that opened 2013. The new location is also expected to offer delivery throughout downtown and Midtown. The Capitol Park eatery is expected to swing open this fall.

Capitol Park is seeing increased interest from developers in the food industry. Townhouse's owner Jeremy Sasson is currently working on opening a modern steakhouse concept in the area. Likewise, The Detroit Optimist Society (Behind The Peterboro, The Sugar House, and Wright & Company among others) said in March that they were planning to open a small-scale speakeasy in The Albert.
