The MGM Grand Detroit has switched out one of its onsite vendors. According to a release, Roasted Bean — Detroit is taking the place of a Starbucks the previously manned the casino entrance. The shop, which opened April 2, is operated by the casino and features more local products including coffee and espresso blends by Royal Oak-based roaster Crazy Fresh Coffee. In addition to feeding the caffeine addictions of high rollers, Roasted Bean offers pastries prepared by the casino's pastry team and products from Better Made, Detroit Popcorn Company, Faygo, Detroit Institute of Bagels, and Guernsey Dairy. The space was designed by Sachse Construction.
Roasted Bean — Detroit is open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.
