EASTERN MARKET — Restaurant start-up Gather surpassed its $20,000 Kickstarter goal. The funds will help the owners build-out their kitchen. The crew is also currently offering pre-order lunches for delivery. [EaterWire]

ALLEN PARK — Griff's Pub in Allen Park is taking reservations for its 50 percent-off preview nights hosted from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on April 10 and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on April 11. Diners can look forward to "upscale English pub food" by chef Steven Kempner (aka The Fargin Chef) including a house-made sausage of the week, cottage pie, corned beef, fish and chips, soups, and lamb poutine.
