It's official. The Ilitch family's Hot-n-Ready empire is calling the Red Wings' new home Little Caesars Arena. The Detroit Free Press has the first-word on the rather unsurprising moniker. Construction on the palatial hockey center (or public money pit) is expected to be completed in time for the 2017 season. The project is part of a $1.2 billion development in Cass Corridor called The District Detroit, which includes five neighborhoods and a massive Little Caesars headquarters. According to Chris Ilitch, the new arena will include five restaurants, seven clubs, an enormous concourse, and 60 percent more concessions. Take a poll about the new name at Curbed.
