Royal Oak beer (and whiskey) loving restaurant Ale Mary's is unveiling a revamped menu on April 27 as part of an overhaul by new executive chef Zach Borowski. The new menu features a few key updates including a whole new list of tacos, a housemade veggie burger, and a slightly tweaked version of the much-touted beer cheeseburger. Borowski joined Ale Mary's and its sister restaurant Tom's Oyster Bar in March following the departure of chef Norman Fenton. The new chef unveiled his take on Tom's menu last week.
In other Ale Mary's news, a rep for the restaurant confirms that beverage director Chris Brock is leaving the restaurant and moving to California. Longtime Mary's employee Cameron Barnett will be taking over the bar program with a focus on growing the restaurant's reputation for whiskey and improving cocktail offerings.
