DOWNTOWN — Tonight beginning at 6 p.m. check out the Downtown Charity Crawl, hosted by The Whisky Parlor, Grand Trunk Pub, and Checker Bar. The event supporting the Save the Children Foundation, features food, drink, raffles, and a silent auction.

Kick-off the evening with drinks, hor d'oeuvres, and live jazz at The Whiskey Parlor where Eater Detroit cocktail contributor Nick Britsky has created Donald Trump-inspired drink special called The Hair Piece. Based on a Seelbach cocktail, it's made with bourbon, cointreau, Peychaud's bitters, angostura bitters, and champagne (Trump Winery Sparkling Brut in this case), and lemon garnish; however, Britsky's Trump twist uses less cointreau and a cotton candy "hair piece" that can be dissolved in the cocktail for added sweetness. Quantities of the cocktail are very limited so get there early. [EaterWire]

CORKTOWN — Mabel Gray's esteemed sommelier Rachel Van Til is guest curating Michigan wines at the Mudgie's Deli bar from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 18. [Facebook]

EASTERN MARKET — Visit Eastern Market Shed 5 on May 6 for Gems of Detroit, an event benefiting Detroit Cristo Rey High School. Avalon Bakery, Beyond Juice, Detroit Beer Company, El Rancho, The Huron Room, Two James Spirits, Republic, and more are serving food and drink at the event, which features live music and a silent auction. Tickets are $50 for those 25 and under, $100 for general admission, or $150 for VIP (exclusive entry to afterglow party). RSVP by April 15. [EaterWire]
