There's a new chef heading up the kitchens at Birmingham's Big Rock Chophouse. A rep for the restaurant confirms that former sous chef Gabby Milton has moved up the ranks, replacing Matthew Fitchett as executive chef of Big Rock and its adjacent events space, The Reserve. The chef took over the position in January.
Milton graduated from the Texas Culinary Academy in 2009 and worked in the banquet and catering hospitality industry before returning to Michigan in 2011. The chef worked with the H Hotel in Midland as a banquet cook before joining the Bed Rock Chophouse in April 2014.
