Already known for its brews, Ale Mary's Beer Hall wanted to expand into whiskeys. The bar has been "slow launch[ing]" its brown liquor program for about a month, but now, program director Chris Brock wants to make sure everyone knows that Ale Mary's pours bourbons, scotches, single malts, ryes, and special reserves like Pappy Van Winkle. "We realized that craft whiskey was an under serviced niche in Royal Oak," says Brock, "and that it was a perfect pairing with our craft beer program. After all, the first step in making a great whiskey is making a great beer!"
