Chef-driven chicken & waffles concept Atomic Chicken hasn't even completed renovations on its New Center restaurant yet, but the company is already plotting more locations. Crain's confirms that owners Matt Baldridge (Dinner Club Pop-Up, The Conserva Ferndale), Greg Reyner (Café Muse, Geiger Eat Shop), and Scott Moloney (Treat Dreams, Woodpile BBQ Shack), are poised to open an Atomic Chicken outpost in Clawson in April.

The team is currently converting the former Faym-Us Chicken and Seafood on South Main Street, which has a carry-out setup. Atomic Chicken's menu will offer buttermilk, "smokin' hot, and panko-crusted chicken with a variety of glazes, and sides like maple-cardamom sweet potatoes, black-eyed peas, and gorgonzola mac and cheese, and pudding. The larger New Center location is expected to open later this Spring.
