There's something singularly pleasing about getting out of the office and eating outside. With winter on its way out, Metro Detroit's many fair weather food trucks are finally descending on Cadillac Square today with the return of Downtown Street Eats. The rotating lineup of street food vendors including Norma G's, Mac Shack, Pita Post, Hero or Villain, and puffy taco slinger El Charro will head downtown every weekday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. through October 28.
This year's St. Patrick's Day food truck rally kicks off with Irish music by DJ Skeez, a performance by the Flanagan-O'Hare School of Irish Dance, and Irish scones at the food hut located across the street from Campus Martius Park and Roasting Plant.
