One of spring's most anticipated restaurants, The Peterboro, arrives this week. The 72-seat Asian-inspired eatery is slated to debut on Thursday in the Cass Corridor, according to Crain's. The restaurant hosted a private soft opening preview on Saturday for followers that signed up for its email list
Detroit Optimists Society restaurant group partner and designer Dave Kwiatkowski (The Sugar House, Café 78, Honest John's, and Wright & Company), tells Crain's that the menu will feature items like cheeseburger spring rolls, tofu in szechuan sauce, and "paper chicken" — meat, ginger, mushrooms, and scallions fried in a paper package. Fellow partner, chef Marc Djozlija revealed to DBusiness earlier this month the bar program would offer four rotating daily cocktail specials, sake, sherry, international beers, and wines that pair well with spicy food.
While we wait for a first-taste of the new bar and restaurant. Check out a few sneak previews of tigers, marlins, fruity looking cocktails, and some enticing dishes, courtesy of The Peterboro's Instagram.
