The former manager of ever-popular Woodward Avenue restaurant Vinsetta Garage has been charged in a massive embezzlement scheme. WXYZ reports that Jeffrey Wells has plead guilty to skimming more that $100,000 from the restaurant.
"It's really heartbreaking that we've given him this trust and he turned it against us," says owner Curt Catallo. Wells was apparently enjoying an excursion through Europe when investigators discovered the scheme. He's scheduled to go before the court for sentencing on March 30.
