EVENTWIRE — Following a successful run of pop-ups in NYC, chef Kate Williams is returning to Detroit this month with a new dining series, Lady of the Market. Held on the third weekend of every month in the Brooklyn Outdoor Loft, the events will offer diners a 5-course preview of Williams' forthcoming restaurant in North Corktown, Lady of the House. POP-UPS — Filipino-inspired pop-up Sarap is hosting a dinner at Brooklyn Street Local on February 28. Proceeds from the event will go towards helping local pork purveyor Melo Farms purchase a new tractor. The kamayan meal — featuring lamb lumpia, deep-fried pork trotters, deep-fried pork belly, duck, and more — will be served communal-style over banana leaves without utensils. Tickets are $40.
