In the fight for those contentious Michigan votes, former President Bill Clinton made an unexpected stop on Thursday morning at Germack Coffee Roasting in Eastern Market as he stumped for Democratic presidential candidate and wife Hillary Clinton. According to The Detroit Free Press, the surprise visit caused a big commotion as workers rushed out of nearby shops to snap photos with the would-be First Man.
Dayne Bartscht, a co-founder of the forthcoming Eastern Market Brewing Company was in the cafe working when Clinton arrived. “I was not expecting to see Bill Clinton this morning and today’s my birthday, so it was perfect timing,” he tells the Free Press.

The 42nd POTUS seems to be a fan of the surprise restaurant and cafe drop-in. He’s done it before at restaurant and shops in Detroit’s West Village and Corktown neighborhoods.
Clinton grabbed a coffee while encouraging people to vote. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to hit Detroit tomorrow for a Get Out the Vote rally.
