Looking for something new to listen to? Mabel Gray chef James Rigato and WDET’s Essential Music host Ann Delisi have launched a new podcast, Culinary Remix. The 17-episode series, out now, looks at topics at the intersection of food and music. “Food is sustenance for the body and music is food for the soul,” Rigato says in a release. “Ann and I connected over our love of eating, listening to music and talking about it. We are excited to share that with the world.”
During the first season, recorded this fall, the pair discuss everything from how to cook squash to the history of jerk chicken and Rigato’s journey through culinary school.
A former Top Chef contestant and James Beard Award semi-finalist, Rigato is constantly taking on new projects. This fall he partnered with Detroit Lion Deandre Levy on a charity dinner series that supports culinary scholarships for Detroit students. He’s also working with Hawthorne Suites by Wyndham, which is featuring his recipes in an extended-stay guest cooking program. Listen in on Culinary Remix’s 8 Mile episode below:
