Between a James Beard nomination and critically acclaimed Hazel Park eatery Mabel Gray, James Rigato is having a really good year. Now, the former Top Chef contestant is now bringing his chops to the Wyndham Hotels brand Hawthorn Suites by helping develop a series of recipes for extended stay guests.

The Wyndham today announced the partnership with Rigato and New York-based chef Hari Nayak to help guests at Hawthorn Suites craft better meals in their hotel rooms. The in-room cooking program provides hotel patrons with the tools and ingredients to make a dishes designed by top chefs, so they’re not constantly dining at restaurants or eating take-out. Rigato’s fall and winter contributions include butternut squash stew; sausage, brussels sprout, and potato hash; and rigatoni with kale. While these recipes are designed for a hotel budget, curious home cooks can definitely access the steps online to make them at home.

Meanwhile, Rigato is headed to New York City’s Beard House for a dinner collaboration with Angry Orchard on November 4.
